Case study: Designing a new dairy unit

Wilson Agriculture have been working with Fergus McDowall since 2009.  Mr McDowall lives in Kirkudbright, Scotland, and has worked closely with Ivor Davey to design and build a 800 cow, high welfare, dairy unit.
Initially, the plans were for 440 cows with room to expand, and the long terms plans and early discussions were critical to enable this dairy to develop to where it is now.  Constant discussion, and details planning have meant that every details has been designed for a reason.  This has also allowed the rapid expansion.

This is an example of another progressive unit which we are pleased to be associated with.  These cows are extremely comfortable and offer a high level of production.
