Since the beginning, dairy farming has had the monumental task of trying to achieve higher milk production efficiently. Everything a farmer does, be it A.I. breeding, feeding, housing, etc. is dependent on this ability to promote increased milk production. Wilson Agriculture believes that this goal should never overshadow their first commitment, which is to the animal itself. Everything they do must fulfil the modern dairy cow’s needs first and foremost. Fulfilling these needs, is the basis for our philosophy towards building a new modern dairy building. These new dairy facilities fulfil the cow’s needs by providing a zone of cow comfort. This ‘COMFORT ZONE’ consists of the entire new facilities components working together to achieve this goal of complete cow contentment. Our overall objective is to provide a confined environment that emulates pasture, thereby giving today’s dairy cows and farmers the best qualities associated with both. These qualities are not only basic and vital to the cow’s ability to produce large amounts of milk, but also to her survival. |
