I found the Cowcoon cubicles a lot more comfortable, especially for lame cows. The cows lie straighter which helps them to lunge easier when getting up. The Pasture mat provides great comfort for lying as well.

Since putting in the Cowcoon cubicles I have noticed a massive reduction on spinal bumps. This can be an issue on the all steel cubicles but the Cowcoon’s have been fantastic in eliminating this problem. They really come into their own with mature and dry cows.

We have recently moved the herd to a new robotic unit milking system with cows housed full-time. After many farm visits we choose Wilson Agri’s Pasture mats Cowcoon Cubicles. The Cowcoon Cubicles are a fantastic job for our cows. The plastic bottom part of the cubicle is flexible enough to give the cow comfort and still hold her in position. From the first day our cows went into the new shed every one of them lies up in the cubicle. Our cows have never been more comfortable, especially lying on the pasture mat with deep foam.

Chris and Amanda have fitted Dairy Grip  rubber throughout there 120 cubicle 2 robot shed. “with the Dairy Grip  in all the walkways and up to the feed barrier we have noticed a definite increase in hoof health and cow comfort. Our foot trimmer has commented on a significant improvement on lameness and hoof health, we would definitely recommend this to others”. With cows being house 365 it is important that they are able to walk on a slip-resistant and forgiving surface.

Oliver has fitted Dairy grip Rubber throughout his robot shed. “we couldn’t be without the Dairy Grip rubber, any lame cows are moved into the Dairy Grip shed and accompanied with a treatment the cows clear up much faster. It is fantastic for putting heifers on as it provides that much more grip, we find it has also increased our heat activity as they are far more confident bulling on the Dairy Grip. If we put up a new shed we will definitely be laying Dairy Grip Rubber on the walkway up to the feed barrier.”
