Fans
Temperature control year round
A single ventilation system for summer and winter
Ventilation in livestock sheds is a key determinant in whether the environment provides optimum health conditions essential to produce and breed. Ceiling fans are the most effective form of forced ventilation producing an air breeze which decreases the perceived temperature during summer months and redistributes hot air in the winter months to help dry out bedding in the stalls.
Good ventilation is necessary to ensure health and animal welfare, in particular;
- Reducing pollution effects of harmful gases coming from metabolic processes and manure fermentation, notably ammonia
- Removing excess water vapour,
- Providing the necessary oxygen intake;
- Dissipitating heat and reducing at the same time the consumption of drinking water.
